How to change/replace "2004 lincoln navigator" alternator? What tools are needed?

My 04 Navi 'check charging system' light came on and now battery is drained. Sure its the alternator. I have basic mech skills. Will I be able to reach and change out the alternator by myself? What tools would I need? What would I need to remove to do this?
