What kind of style of driving ruins a engine?

I have a 2008 Dodge Avenger SXT and I hit 100mph like 4 times and I usually dont drive like that everytime. How can I prevent my beast's engine to not to start to sound like a clicky clunk like I have seen on other peoples new cars and their engine sounds like a 1970's car the way they accelerate. I always let the car's engine warmup before I go so thats one of the preventative maintenance I do. I always make sure the oil is changed every 3,000 miles. What else can I do to keep the engine smooth like it is now?
