If you get a cl a misdemeanor for dui..is yoru whole future work wise pretty much ruined? it is really unfo?

unfortunate how one mistake can ruin our whole lives...any input? please help..i feel so messed up..i have a daughter and I really messed up. I feel like my world is over.
