My daughter contracted Staph Epi during birth and they cant explain to me how she got it.?

I need an answer on how she got it and they cant tell me how. They just said that all babies are at risk to get an infection at birth. Should I go for that answer or try to see what really caused it? Is staph transmitted by a person?
