Why do Christian Fundamentalists insist on supporting the GOP?

If Fundies strickly adhere to their Bible, couldn't they clearly see that their candidates have not exactly behaved rightously (to put it mildly) They do not want to help people; they tend to be hateful, negative, and money driven. And here we see one evangelical charlatan after another go down in flames. So why do they continue to support these people. Is it just because they talk about Jesus all the time?
