Is rubberized paint best for tennis court flooring?

Our existing tennis court floor paint is old and slippery. A friend advised us to repaint the floor using rubberized paint. We dont know if theres a need to sc the existing old paint which is a combination of epoxy and latex paint before we apply rubberized paint.
